Hi, I’m Abby Rohlik

I’m a Registered Nurse and Nurse Coach based in Minnesota. I created The Good Medicine to help people better understand their health, connect the dots, and feel confident navigating their care without having to feel like they are doing it alone.

Outside of my work, I’m a mom to two kids and I live in the West Metro. I’m a Christian, and my faith is an important part of my life and the way I approach care. I’m also a Canine Companions therapy dog handler alongside my daughter.

MY BACKGROUND

My background is in nursing, where I’ve cared for patients across a wide range of settings. I’ve worked bedside in intensive care, cardiac, and orthopedic settings, as well as with the special needs community. I am also a Public Health Nurse, a Board Certified Functional Medicine Nurse Coach.

Over the years of working in the hospital, I began to see a pattern:

  • Patients weren’t lacking care they were lacking time, explanation, and support with following through.

  • They were leaving appointments with unanswered questions, trying to piece together their health on their own. They couldn’t get ahold of their provider after an appointment to get questions answered. They were jumping from specialist to specialist without anyone communicating.

That gap is where The Good Medicine began.

WHY THIS IS PERSONAL

My path into nursing started long before my career. I grew up alongside my younger brother, who has complex health needs. Spending time in hospitals with him and being involved in his care from a young age gave me a deep understanding of how important it is to advocate for patients and how much our health truly matters. He is the reason I became a nurse!

WHY I DO THIS

When it comes to The Good Medicine I don’t specialize in one organ system. Ispecializeinthepatient! I focus on helping you understand your body as a whole your labs, your symptoms, your lifestyle, and the patterns that connect them. I help you navigate a fragmented, complex and confusing healthcare system.

My approach is:

  • Personalized

  • Preventative

  • Whole person focused

  • Collaborative with you

  • Collaborative with your providers if they are willing

I combine clinical knowledge with practical, real life application. This means we’re not just looking at numbers or symptoms we’re looking at how your health fits into your daily life and what actually works for you.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT

The Good Medicine is nurse led. As a nurse, my role has always been to:

• educate

• connect care

• advocate for patients

• and see the full picture

This work brings that same approach outside of the hospital into everyday life, where health is actually lived.

I work with patients across Minnesota.

All services are provided through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform for scheduling, communication, and documentation.
